* Checklist for Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency / Electrical Workmen Permit.

  1. The candidate must be a domicile of India.
  2. Scanned copy of Passport size photograph.
  3. Treasury Challan.
  4. Age proof Certificate.
  5. ITI Electrician pass certificate.
  6. NCVT certificate.
  7. All scanned copies should be below 450 kb.

  1. APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO EXAMINATION AND TEST FOR GRANT OF CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY/PERMIT [Regulation-36 2)]

* Eligibility Criteria.

  1. The candidate must be a domicile of India.
  2. For Workmen Permit Class VIII pass.
  3. For Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Any person with 10 (Ten) years experience in Electrical works.

* Fees including payment mode.

Fees for Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency. Fees Payment Head of Account 0043-Taxes & Duties on Electricity- 102 fees Under I.E. Rules:

  1. Fees for the admission examination and test with every application Form for the first Certificate of Competency: Rs. 100/-
  2. Fees for the admission into examination and test with every application Form for each additional or subsequent class of Certificate of competency: Rs. 50/-
  3. Renewal fees for any class or classes of Certificate of Competency, if done within the time limit: Rs. 30/-
  4. Penalty for late renewal of Certificate of Competency-
    (i) If renewed within a period of one year from the date of expiry: Rs. 20/-
    (ii) If renewed within a period of five years from the date of expiry: Rs. 20/- for each year of default.
  5. Fees for issue of a duplicate Certificate of Competency: Rs. 50/-

Note: - The above rates shall also be applicable to candidates who have been exempted either partly or wholly from appearing in examination for a Certificate of Competency.

  1. Fees for the admission into examination and test with every application Form for the first Rs. 50/-
  2. Fees for the admission into examination and test with every application Form for each additional or subsequent class of permit Rs. 25/-
  3. Renewal fee for any class or classes of permit, if renewed within the time Rs. 20/-
  4. Penalty for late renewal of permit-
    (i) if renewal within a period of one year from the date of Expiry Rs. 20/-
    (ii) if renewed within a period of five years from the date of Expiry Rs. 20/- for each year of default.

  1. For Electrical Contractor License:
  2. Original cash memo of Instrument purchase.
  3. Test certificate of Instruments.
  4. Treasury Challan
  5. Photostat Copy of Supervisor’s Certificate.
  6. Photostat copy of Workmen Permit.
  7. Joining Report of Supervisor’s Certificate and Workmen Permit holder’s.
Important Timelines.

Timeline (days) from the date of online submission of duly signed application till issuance of clearance in respect of Electrical Installation is 15 days, whereas for Electrical Licensing Board matters timeline will be decided by competent authority from time to time.
