Inspection
To make an accident Free State from use of electricity and lifts and escalators apart from use of energy in practicable efficient manner to avoid losses of Lives & Property, the Inspectorate of Electricity performs various types of Inspection. These can be classified as such:-
- Inspection of Sub-Station:- In Inspection of Sub-Station exceeding 650 volts we inspect whether appropriate rating(capacity) of Transformer is being used or not, Required Earthing is provided or not and testing of Earthing, power receiving panel installation, cables etc. are UNDER REGULATION 43 OF THE CENTRAL ELECTRICITY AUTHORITY (MEASURES RELATING TO SAFETY & ELECTRIC SUPPLY) REGULATIONS, 2010.
- Inspection of Line:- During inspection of Line exceeding 650 volts we inspect the height of the pole, Proper guarding of Line, Earthing on Guarding, Types of Insulator, Isolator etc. are UNDER REGULATION 43 OF THE CENTRAL ELECTRICITY AUTHORITY (MEASURES RELATING TO SAFETY & ELECTRIC SUPPLY) REGULATIONS, 2010.
- Inspection of Multi-Storied Building:- We inspect the Electrical Installation inside the Multi-Storied Building are as required under Regulation 36 of the Central Electricity Authority (measures relating to safety & electric supply) regulations, 2010).
- Inspection of Lift & Escalators:- The Internal Electrical Wiring, Proper Earthing etc. are inspected by us whether all norms are fulfilled as [Required under Regulation 32 of the Central Electricity Authority (measures relating to safety & electric supply) Regulations, 2010].
- Inspection of Electrical Generating Unit: - The quality of Electrical cables, Earthing etc. are inspected to ensure that all installation are as [Required under Regulation 32 of the Central Electricity Authority (measures relating to safety & electric supply) Regulations, 2010].
